ARTIST STATEMENT
Glass loves Light!
My art glass is hand cut and fired in a kiln. I use mostly transparent colors for the added depth and ability to gather light and transform it into something with life and beauty. The process I use begins with sheets of glass. I layer colored crushed glass on a base of sheet glass to create images of nature, including flowers, trees and landscape scenes. The glass is then fired in a kiln 1 to 3 times. Each firing takes 12-24 hours to complete. Some pieces may be shaped into bowls, plates or whatever the intended use dictates. Over the years I have developed a signature look with my glass.
