NOREEN SHANAFELT
The element of surprise is always what this artist craves in her creations. So, one of her favorite mediums is batik. The Indonesian ancient craft is only revealed in the final wax removal. Noreen’s students at Boise High loved the results!
Noreen was born into a family of watercolor artists in Brooklyn, New York, so that was the main direction of her art journey. Guided by Louis Peck as a young student, she was an art educator for 32 years in Boise schools.
She is a dog lover and is currently specializing in canine portraits in watercolor and batik.
Noreen also has a framing service using recycled frames for much less cost.
