“Small Green Silk” by Jean Goff

Our guest artist for the month of September is fiber artist Jean Goff. The McCall-based artist is adept at combining traditional and modern techniques into wall hangings that emotionally connect to the natural world. This month we are also featuring one of our gallery members, Montana native Candace Bonawitz. Her textured and painterly ceramics remind of us of our favorite gardens. Finally, please join us in welcoming our two newest members, bronze artist Dave Armstrong and jeweler Donna Armstrong. Singer-songwriter Michaela French will sing originals and covers with guitar accompaniment at our First Saturday reception.

Meet the artists and view the art by over twenty regional artists at our First Saturday reception, September 7, 4-7 p.m., with live music, wine and appetizers.

“Overflow I” by Pam Grant

Our guest artist for the month of August is Pam Grant, an award-winning abstract painter in water-based media. Her colorful and flowing abstractions capture the essence of landscape, figure and object. Abstraction is also central to the art of our featured member Thea Belecz, who collages hand-dyed fabric shapes and representational images into mixed media works that reference the landscapes she loves. As a special treat, the Old West Trio will entertain us with cowboy harmonies and acoustic playing at our First Saturday reception.
