ANNETTE BUSH

ARTIST STATEMENT

Annette is a wildlife photographer whose work is defined by the intersection of formal design and the raw spontaneity of the natural world. With a professional background as a visual designer and art director, her transition to the lens was fueled by years of collaboration with photographers and videographers. This immersive environment served as the catalyst for her own experimentation, eventually leading her from the structured world of design to the unpredictable beauty of the wild.

While her early explorations were rooted in street and editorial photography, Annette eventually found her most compelling subjects in animal behavior. Her work seeks to document the intimate, often unseen interactions within the animal kingdom, revealing a side of wildlife that remains hidden from the casual observer.

Drawing from a heritage in design, she masterfully balances fundamental elements to transform natural environments. Her work creates a visual dialogue between the chaos of nature and the harmony of graphic principles, framing the wild through a lens of intentionality and grace. – Annette Bush
