Gallery Fifty-Five is closing through the end of March, following guidelines from the CDC to help our country’s effort to flatten the curve of new cases of Covid-19.

Items in the gallery are still for sale during the closure. If you have a favorite artist from the gallery or there is art you saw in the gallery but have been waiting to buy, you can purchase art by sending an email to gallery55art@gmail.com. Describe what you want to buy or tell us which artist you are interested in, and we’ll help you find what you are looking for and arrange for payment and shipping.

We are developing a new Art For Sale web page, where you can easily browse and shop online. Check it out as we begin adding art to that page.

“Small Green Silk” by Jean Goff

Our guest artist for the month of September is fiber artist Jean Goff. The McCall-based artist is adept at combining traditional and modern techniques into wall hangings that emotionally connect to the natural world. This month we are also featuring one of our gallery members, Montana native Candace Bonawitz. Her textured and painterly ceramics remind of us of our favorite gardens. Finally, please join us in welcoming our two newest members, bronze artist Dave Armstrong and jeweler Donna Armstrong. Singer-songwriter Michaela French will sing originals and covers with guitar accompaniment at our First Saturday reception.

Meet the artists and view the art by over twenty regional artists at our First Saturday reception, September 7, 4-7 p.m., with live music, wine and appetizers.

Gallery Fifty-Five is a nonprofit artist cooperative.

When: Saturday, September 7, 4-7 pm.
Where: Gallery Fifty-Five, 311 E. Lake Street, McCall, Idaho
