October at Gallery 55: Featuring Lauren Kistner and Genie Sue Weppner, Printmaking

Idaho artist Lauren Kistner is our guest for the month of October, bringing her textured paintings inspired by Idaho’s night skies, landscapes and geology. She has been a Boise Department of Arts and History artist in resident and a traffic box public artist for both Boise and Nampa. Her paintings have appeared in exhibitions across Washington, Oregon and Idaho. We are also featuring Genie Sue Weppner, a popular ceramicist from our gallery known for both functional pottery and decorative clay vessels. Her influences, acquired while studying anthropology, range from the fine craftsmanship of vessels made by early humans to the simple elegance of Japanese serving vessels. Finally, members of the gallery (Theresa Burkes, Katharina Roth and Noreen Shanafelt) will exhibit examples of printmaking art, everything from linocuts to screen prints.

View Lauren’s, Genie Sue’s, printmaking art and the art of over twenty regional artists in October. The gallery is open 11-5 daily.
