“Tranquility” by Rich Summers

Hello snow enthusiasts! The slopes are open, and we are rockin’ and rollin’ at the gallery. In January, we welcome guest artist acrylic painter Rich Summers. Rich is a voice over actor with a passion for painting the beauty of the land and wildlife of the West, including Idaho. Rich’s eye for light transparently played out over the texture of his canvases will make you “Ooh” and “Ah.”  Our featured member artist is photographer Melissa Shelby, another artist who captures so beautifully the western landscape. You’ll want to check out her stunning images of scenery from the McCall area. And at our evening reception, you will enjoy hearing Judy Berg, an accomplished singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist newly-arrived on the music scene here in Idaho.

Meet the artists and view the art by over twenty local and regional artists at our First Saturday reception, January 5, 4-8 p.m., with music by Judy Berg, wine by Bistro 45 and appetizers.

Gallery Fifty-Five is a nonprofit artist cooperative.

When: Saturday, January 5, 4-8 pm.
Where: Gallery Fifty-Five, 311 E. Lake Street, McCall, Idaho

“Clouds Over Boise River” by Rena Vandewater

The holidays are beautiful in McCall. Trees are lit, decorations go up, but Mother Nature does the best decorating. On December 1, we welcome guest artist painter Rena Vandewater and feature glass artist Laura Johnson and our newest member, jeweler Michele Applebee. Rena’s famously colorful oil and acrylic paintings not only provide just the antidote for cabin fever but will delight art collectors. Featured member, Laura Johnson, also a master of color, inspires us with new fused glass work on her favorite subject, the natural landscape. You’ll want to take in the elegance of Michelle Applebee’s jewelry, too, the perfect gift for someone you love—or for yourself.

Meet the artists and view the art by over twenty member artists at our First Saturday reception, December 1, 4-8 p.m., with music by Mike Rutledge, wine by Bistro 45 and appetizers.

Ascendance by Connie McClaran

It’s cooler weather here in McCall and we are enjoying the crisp days in our cozy gallery on the lake. On November 3rd, we welcome guest artist wood sculptor Gary Peer, featured member artist photographer Connie McClaran and our newest member, bronze sculptor Allen Malaise. And to complement Connie’s work and our location on the shore of the Payette, outdoor enthusiast Allen Malaise adds imposing, motion-packed and fabulously detailed bronzes of Northwestern wildlife. You don’t want to miss any of this.
