November at Gallery 55

We feature two special artists in the gallery this month. Our guest is emerging oil painter Tatiana Stroganova who captures everyday moments with extraordinary expressive use of color. Her landscapes and florals do not just reproduce what she sees but create an emotional and energetic moment for the viewer. Another landscape favorite of ours is local photographer Connie McClaran, who we are also featuring in November. Connie is known as “The Spiritographer,” referring to her habitual photographic walkabouts where she takes the time to feel the spirit of a place before even beginning to capture an image. After an excursion collecting amazing images, she will take the images to the computer to find and fully express the spirit of communion she had felt in that place.

Please join us for a reception for Tatiana Stroganova and Connie McClaran on Saturday, November 1, 4-6:30 p.m., with live music by Bob Bryan and Pete Pride. Tracy Holmes, our upstairs gallery neighbor will also be open for a reception at the same time, so come by and enjoy both.

View Tatiana Stroganova and Connie McClaran’s work and the work of over twenty regional artists at Gallery 55 during the month of November. The gallery is open 11-5 daily, closed on Thanksgiving Day.
